Hello fellow Televigionists, just a quick update to let you know the reason for the apparent lack of Televigual activity (I’m not sure Televigual has the texture of a word ever to be used again). You see, I – founder of this important gathering of television enthusiasts – have other commitments outwith the small screen. Specifically, the large screen.
During the two weeks of the Edinburgh International Film Festival I am writing a series of articles for The Independent (not that one, this one http://independent-magazine.org/) and have the very cool privilege of a press pass and a spreadsheet timetabling the screenings I will try to attend. That was of my own concoction – making it was a process I enjoyed almost as much as the films I’ve seen so far. This does not reflect poorly on the films I’ve seen, rather demonstrates my love of prioritised ordering.
So please forgive my lack of posting. I have thoughts on some superlative TV (just finished Daredevil and Game of Thrones, Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell continues to grow in excellence with each passing episode) and some TV that is diminishing as it continues (why, Broad City, why?!) but that will have to wait.
However, I do have some exciting news. As you can see in the large image above I have designed a logo for a Televigion podcast. I have also gone further and recorded the basis of the first episode. There is editing and producing to be done but this new venture should open up the world of Televigion. As will its own Twitter…
